It is time to book your flights! Please read the information below carefully.
Green Suggestions
- Consider calling your airline about a carbon offset purchase.
- Consider nonstop flights to reduce emissions associated with travel.
STEP 1. Decide on your preferred travel times.
Decide whether you will be traveling according to the regular trip dates or if you will be arriving early and/or departing late:
- For the start of the journey, we recommend arriving at Heathrow Airport (LHR) no later than 11:00 a.m. on June 1, 2026 (book flights which depart the U.S. on the evening of May 31st). Two complimentary group transfers will be provided on June 1st based on flight arrival time. More information about your transfer will be provided closer to departure. Hotel check-in is at 3:00 p.m., so your room may not be ready upon arrival, but you will be able to secure your luggage safely prior to any afternoon touring. You will have time to check-in and freshen up prior to the welcome reception and dinner.
- After the journey, we recommend departing from Charles de Gaulle (CDG) after 2:00 p.m. on June 7, 2026. One complimentary group transfer will be provided from your hotel in Normandy to Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris on the morning of June 7th. Due to the anticipated increase in traffic and long lines at the airport, please book flights after 2:00 p.m.
STEP 2. Book your travel.
- You are welcome to book your travel on your own.
- If you would like assistance, see the information about Collegiate Travel Planners (CTP) at the end of this page.
STEP 3. Communicate your plans with me.
- Your flight itinerary. If you book your travel on your own (and not through CTP), please send your itinerary as soon as possible to this email: [email protected]
- Your transfer opt-out plans. If you need to opt out of the complimentary transfers between the airport and the hotel because your flights fall outside of the above recommended times, please email me to let me know.
EU Entry and Exit System (EES)
As of October 12, 2025, U.S. citizens will need to go through the EU’s new Entry and Exit System when traveling to 29 European countries. When passing through customs, your fingerprints, facial image, passport details, and entry and exit dates will be collected and stored digitally. For more information, please visit the US Department of State website.
Entry Requirements
All non-UK/Irish passport holders will be required to apply for Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) to enter the country beginning January 8th, 2025.
